Hello from Miami

Hey Everyone,

I've been reading around her for the last 6 months and finally decided to join. I have been practicing hypermiling by just slowing down and coasting alot in city traffic. I drive about 80 miles a day so for me almost anything I can do makes a big difference in my fuel bills.

Thanks for all the info so far!

lol, thanks! I was wondering where FL was at

Still tough to hypermile down here with everyone wanting to go 90, I try to go a bit faster on the turnpike just to keep everyone from running me off the road.

Trust me, its all in your head, I've been @ a steady 55 now for a couple of months and have yet to get honked at, just one concrete truck that wanted me as part of his grille. I drive the Turnpike, I-75 & I-95 Daily.

And your right, I can attribute some of my mileage to the wind pushing me forward from everyone blasting by me at speeds faster than 80.

Welcome to the site, long time lurker!

Any chance you could post a progress/summary thread of your gear swap? Pics?
