Hello from Racer X

Hello
I was asked to comment on the engine off coasting thread. So I joined this forum. I am very interested in this subject . I have been a big fan of Craig Vetter for a long time. I also ride a 50 cc scooter to and from work . I get about 80 mpg

My main passion is land speed racing .I have the worlds fastest unfaired 250 ninja . and am .04mph from the title of worlds fastest Ninja 250.
Aerodynamics are everything in land speed racing , But as I am still studying this I have removed all my fairings to see how effective the fairing are . Racing with and with out fairings gives me real world experience,

Then you must be a fan of the Buddfab streamliner. I never knew 50cc's could go 140+mph! I dig LSR too; but then again, if it's got high performance within sniffing distance, I'm all over it.

Oh, yeah, welcome aboard!

I saw the videos of them running in the 125cc class, and after that it made me question what I had believed in terms of just doing the traditional things to achieve speed.

This week went and I filled up the tank on my 2003 Aprilia Scarabeo 50. 49cc two stroke.

I will track exact milage next week .But last week was 4 dollars and this week I put in 91 octane fuel because it was the same price as regular last week @399 a gallon and I have a long hill I climb and did not want any preignition.

Today a new scooter came into the shop. It is a 170cc fuel injected Buddy 170i.

The Genuine Scooter Company :: Buddy 170 Fuel Injected, 170i

I think I may just have to get this .Two year warranty and If I sell my scooter and an old 1988 250 ninja with 130000 miles on it. It will only cost me a few hundred bucks . I have heard it gets 93 mpg.I don't believe it and would love to be proven wrong. With 170cc and fuel injection I do know it will lay rubber and I know I can wheelie it.
