If you want to do it for the heat reduction, why not use the best color to do so and get the best results ?
There's probably some expensive heat-reflective paint in a fancy color , but simple gloss white would do nicely.
(If everybody painted their roofs white, it'd offset the increased urban heat.)
Dulux have a website that compares their heat reflective paints to regular paints.
The fun part is that you can also compare the effects of the different regular colors as they were tested under standard conditions.
Unfortunately off-white and what are probably some light colors don't have reports on them ...
