Hi all, relatively new ecomodder
Glad to be here, pinching penny's , getting the most efficiency out of my car..
My "fuel saver" is a 93 Acura Integra GS 5-spd manual. Currently averaging about 29-30 MPG combined city and highway, beating EPA estimates for straight highway by about 10% or more, roughly. Currently practicing steady acceration with shifts between 2-3k rpm, unless needed otherwise, and highway cruising 55-60 mph (the gearing on my teg really impacts fuel efficiency on the highway at any higher speeds). Also using engine braking when it makes sense. Sometimes riding the draft behind semi's on the highway.

Welcome to the site. Do you have any goal for the car?

Thanks for the warm welcome. Since I am more of a performance enthusiast than anything, my goals are not strictly Eco related. But I still have to drive to and from work and I figure the less fuel I use doing that, the more money in my pocket. So I guess I would say that my goal is to just get the best milage out of my car, while still having a daily driver that is fun to drive when Im in the mood.
Oh, I also use lucas fuel treatment with every tankful. I am a firm believer in this, and on all cars that I've used it in have seen a constistant 1-2 mpg bump (and a cleaner smelling exhaust, not that I make a habit of sniffing exhaust or anything). From what I read about gasoline refinement, alot of good stuff is stripped out of our fuel for EPA concerns, but actually is detrimental to improving air quality, etc. In my SC400, I am able to run Lucas with standard fuel instead of premium octane and still beat FE on premium. This leads me to believe that Lucas makes up for the instability of the lower octane fuel and thus the computers normal tendancy to retard the timing for lower octane fuel which would result in lower FE.

Welcome to EM! I always liked the first generartion SC400. I keep thinking that the second generation Saturn SC# coupes took their design theme from the SC400 (i.e. that long horizontal line from bow to stern) :

LOL, thats almost exactly my car 95-96 SC w/ 92-94 wheels,
Except mine arent chrome and are for my winter tires, otherwise riding on GS400 17"s
I wouldnt doubt that saturn used the SC for inspiration, it's a great looking car and a timeless design (look at just about any 90's BMW or MB, they look totally dated, but the SC still looks fresh, especially with simple bodykit or 97+ conversion). I think there are a number of cars that took styling cues from it, like the 90's Monte Carlo or Ford zx2.

100% agreement. Timeless design.
OMG, , I just realized ... SC400 ... SC1 or SC2!!!!
Coincidence?!?!?!?!. I think NOT!!!!
Dun-Dun-Dun-Duuuuuuuuuuuuun!
... Wait. The SC# naming convention existed in the first gen Saturns. Nevermind.
