Hit my goal, 100+MPG on my drive to work.
Today I finally hit my goal of getting 100+MPG on my drive to work which is 44miles. I even left later than normal today and still got to work early enough. I had a few advantages, a truck with a trailer was going 54mph for a few miles then had another tanker going 50 for a bit. I was worried about being late so I had to pass and go back up to 58mph. I also used the IMA switch to disable forced regen after I got off the highway (when I was sitting at 101.7mpg).
Now I need a new goal... working on a grid charger now, I think 115 can be done!

Good luck! Can't wait to see what you come up with. I would be happy with half of your FE at this point.
I assume you're talking about the insight?

IMA isn't in our Glossary. Could you define? Thanks.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the car and figuring it out! Is the tail still on it?
I miss lean burn!

IMA = Integrated Motor Assist. It's Honda's name for its hybrid system. He's driving a 1st generation Insight.

No I took the tail off it, I still need really quick access to the trunk for my daily driving which will include grocery store trips. I'm keeping it tucked away with plans of making a mold and having something very light weight that can hang only off the bumper and allow the hatch to be opened with one hand.

Well if you make a mold, you will probably be able to sell copies. Or when it bites the dust (raccoons!), take measurements of the main bits to share with the community -- I had several people ask what became of that tail after you bought the car.

If someone put out a high quality durable copy for a couple hundred bucks I'd buy one ^
