I'm knocking on wood, haven't been pulled over yet, been pasted by at least 10 or 15 times now with the back wide open its looks like a violation but so far so good. also looked at wyatts kamback from one of your posts, still undecided about my rear.

Kammback

Backyard:
If your trunk lid is still available, you should build off of it. You can this way use the seals and steel to get you started, and build up from there. This way you may even be able to open and close your new kammback hatch! If you use some Lexan for windows (for visibility) you would really have something. I have seen where cars with your design (fastback hatch) have had the hatch replaced with a "station wagon hatch", giving more interior volume. I don't see why you couldn't do the same while making your vehicle more efficient.

I'm in South Carolina and have never been pulled for my interior side mirrors. Every time a cop has pulled me over, I ask them if there is anything about my car that is illegal, specifically mentioning the side mirrors, and they never had any problem with them.

wyatt, look at pic on page one. I momentarily thought to put it back to stock but that option is definitely out the window. there's no turning back now, I commited to custom aero.

basjoos, I somehow missed seeing you're in SC, so what have you been pulled over for, and were any citations issued? If there's a place here at Em for safety or legal discussions I haven't found it yet.

Online is possibly easiest... here is a selection I just found in a quick search online: 12004 - GROTE - Rd Convex Stick On Mirror 12004 - Reviews & Prices @ Yahoo! Shopping

Look around til you find the kind you like. I liked those with flat edges because I could push them all the way up to the passenger window.

BTW, is there an update on this Civic HX fastback thread? How is it going?

update

sorry to say car is still in it's last reported state. Other demands have kept me away from my dear little project. my inside mirrors came from pep boys but I'm not intirely satisfied with them though, I would recomend you try one of your own choosing, the problem I have is the field of view is very small(narrow) which make me rely on turning my head to verify safe lane changes, which isn't all that bad for safety sakes. I do drive my crx almost daily with the same mirror mod just have gotten used to the extra turn of the head.
