Wow what a find,my first question is, Is the motor still there?
That car is one hell of a collectable, and should be in the Smithsonian as far as I am concerned. Uber cool

If the engine isn't functional after all this time, it would be interesting to see how this car would perform using the engine and transmission unit taken from the diesel Smart, as was installed in the most recent incarnation of the Avion.

wildthings, sure appreciate you closing the gap on this one.A car like this shouldn't fade into the dustbin of history, and it's funny that HONDA makes no effort to associate itself with the car.
Your photos show a bit of the plan view, and it looks like the car had a significant degree of taper.Which would help account for the mpg figures.
If we got down on our knees and begged you, perhaps your camera could provide us with more eye candy?
My hat's off to the folks who created the car.I'd like to know all there is to know about it.
And again, thanks for the tasty images. It's nice to know the car is still out there somewhere.

You are closer than you think in your idea! It has a gas AND a diesel engine...

Just got the Honda out of storage today and shot some pics outdoors for your pleasure- no need to beg.
Also ended up buying a Ford Escort Jet electric car. All batteries have been removed and have no idea of its mechanical status.
Both cars will be for sale. Any takers on the Ford?
