Seems like a turbo 1L (100 hp) for "export" market would be sufficient to move this small car along in any traffic. Problem would be for the SUVs and trucks seeing it before pulling over. I'd take the 660 cc engine they have in this one because the Honda 650 Shadow bike is great to ride. and this S660 isn't that much heavier and much more streamlined. If the S660 is turbo, that's even better.

The Honda S360 was an even earlier version with a 360cc inline 4 engine.
My parents have a Honda N600 and it's got plenty of power for it's size, I would assume that with a turbo an engine that size is going to have way more power then any reasonable person needs.

Did anyone else notice that they said a 7spd CVT in the video? Kinda bass ackwards to have a CVT with 7 gear stops, I'd think. Could it be the CVT is smaller and more easily fit the car? If its a CVT why not use it like one and not have set gears at all??

I still rather have a MT like My Subaru 360, even on 25hp its fun to drive and gets up to about 70mph with 40psi in the 10" tires.

There's a guy about 100mi east of Asheville NC, small city called Statesville, evidently he's the east coast guru on all things micro-Honda.
O'Connor's Honda 600 Shop, Statesville, NC
He always has a few cars on the block. He has an AZ600 for sale right now.
Shown here actual size (an example, not the actual car for sale):

With a few aero tweaks you might pick up a few mph top speed. With so little power, anything you can do to lighten the load can only make driving it more fun.

Even a naturally-aspirated 1.0L would be enought. BTW there was a similar model made by Daihatsu, the Copen, which was available with a naturally-aspirated 1.3L for export markets.

The 660cc is more than enough, its really too bad mericans have to be backward.
Heck for me the 360cc car I have is enough, would love microcars to be sold over here.
My fathers ZX40 for example is a street legal micro and to be honest I see no reason why they couldn't pass crash tests
Ah well, have to build our own I guess or buy antiques from pre-1970
