I've ridden my bicycle about 280 miles since finishing school almost exactly one month ago. 220 miles of that is specifically commuting to work everyday.

280 miles on my bike:
$38 total (13.5 cents/mile)

That same 280 miles if I would've been driving the Tempo:
$50 for insurance, $50 for maintenance/repairs/parking, and $47 in fuel (assuming 30-mpg) = $147 total (52.5 cents/mile)

My commute to/from work is 330mi weekly. Now that Summer is upon us, I can count on an additional 100mi per weekend.

2100 to 2300 miles per month.

Justifies a lot of modding.

Last month we (me and the wife) put roughly 3700 miles on the Matrix and about 500 miles on the Paseo. This is why I carpool as much as possible.

If I didn't carpool the Paseo would have at least 1500 miles per month. So, I'm saving 1000 miles a month at 50 mpg... is 20 gallons of gas or roughly $80.

Under 300/mo.

Work is 3.2 miles away from home. I am quite fortunate.

I'm around 1000 a month. Used to be 2000 before I moved in February. Once the weather starts cooperating and I find a convenient place to put my bikes I can cut out some more local driving.
