This was when we lived in the USA
We have since moved to Finland, we imported our car with our other household goods. Had no problem registering it with it's obvious hitch, just had to add a fog lamp to the rear to be EU compliant.

We just towed a 1 ton pallet of pellets home for our thermalelectric wood pellet stove boiler.. It generates about 60 euro of electricity per month while keeping us warm ;-)

We picked up this sweet little piece of technology from Hasty Heat; thier CHP Combined Heat and Power wood pellet stove, with the optional thermal electric TEG boiler, and a 220 VAC grid tie inverter...

Link below.

Then sipped hot chocolate into the evening while watching the Aurora Borealis....

You have to tell us a lot more about the teg generator.

Our home is heated with a hydronic loop and room radiators.
Now rather than burning 4000 liters of heating oil per year up north here.
Costing 5000 euro, we burn about 1000 euro of wood pellets to heat the water loop.
So when the 10kw of heat from the Hasty Heat CHP pellet stove passes through the TEG's that are water cooled by our hydronic loop, they generate about 400 watts of electricity continuously that is about 9.6 kwh per day, and the heat is then circulated throughout our home to the radiators.

To give 9.6 kwh perspective, that is bout 70 km per day for free driving our Nissan leaf.!

These teg units cost a lot more than solar but solar has thr problem of not producing power when there is no sun.

I tow stuff with my leaf, so far the largest item is a forklift battery I bought for off grid power.
