They could have gone farther if they removed the ac.

Yeah, but they said it in British, so not everyone understood
Plus they drove on the wrong side of the road so we can't compare those results with the rest of the world

Seriously

Car companies will boast about it if they managed to reduce the weight of a vehicle when moving to its next generation.
Same thing with temporary spares: less weight, and less expensive to make.

But weight reduction is something that everyone can easily do themselves - and you just go as far along as you want to go.

Love that Sentra! I'm glad they didn't remove the AC, I can live with all the other mods. I mean, after all, now if you want to wash it, you don't have to check to make sure the windows are up.

Take it to a drive-through car wash, and it'll be cleaned outside AND inside for the same price !
On top of that, you'd get a good body rub yourself !
Gotta love that

Haha!

Several years ago my brother did this to a beater Suzuki Swift (very poorly named car). I think it ran a 23 second 1/4 mile when he started. He removed more and more weight, first by removing what he could and then by cutting. He got a little more extreme than that Sentra and there was really little left other than the bare essentials to make it move.

Then he added nitrous oxide.

He got it in the 13's before it threw a rod.

I'm down 204lbs in my Mazda Protoge. A/C, PS, Back Seat, Pass Seat, Pass Airbag, Glove Box, Spare Tire, Smaller Battery, 13inVX Rims w/155/80. So weight loss is possible before you start cutting.

They are Australian, and therefore colonials.

(Plus we don't mention what we used to use Australia for...)

You can tell it isn't Britain by the Sunshine - We don't do anything quite so vulgar as good weather.

But they do drive on the correct side of the road.
