That would be the obvious first choice. And frankly if you do not have massive grillblocks then squirting water will only improve efficiency slightly.

But i get stuck in traffic a lot . So not much airflow over the coils. In my case, i think it will provide a noticeable benefit.

Stuck in traffic shouldn't be a problem.

When using AC, the cooling fan defaults to always-on mode. There should be plenty of airflow even while stuck in a stack of traffic. Cleaner coils will help you tremendously.

That said, stuck in traffic with a bunch of other engines all dumping heat into the air is when you would want the misting system the most.

I had another random idea. If a reservoir could be added for liquid state refrigerant, would that not increase the on and off times of the compressor?

In my type of driving I have to use the brakes fairly often, using ac compressor instead would be beneficial. The added capacity could cool me untill the next time i have to brake.

Kind of like adding a bigger battery for a regen system.

Yet another random idea.

My car runs on lpg. And the lpg is injected in gas form.

If i route lpg through the cabin ac, i could get it to cool the cabin for free. Currently the engine coolant is used to heat/vaporize it.
