My commute is all rural country road for about 3/4 of the 20 mile trip with the last part going through a small town with one traffic light. There are 2 hills and 3 stops total on the trip.

Sounds like you have just about the ideal route to pull of some truly silly MPG numbers with your vehicle (if you want to go hard core with technique). That's assuming the roads are paved!

Welcome to EcoMullet! I saw your proposal for the rear wheel skirts. Extending the rear bumper plastic is an Uber clean design idea IMO. It seems like a natural, since the top of the bumper touches the "top dead center" of the rear wheel-well.

welcome. Just a guess but it sounds like your around the valley city/Grafton area.
Great find, i've been looking for something similar. I travel 40+ mi's one way to work in my 17mpg Ranger, so i'm definitely in the same boat as you.

I'm guessing Ashtabula or closer to Conneaut since the shop is on the PA side. Nice part of the State, though.

If you're ever in Fairlawn, my folks have an Ohio State store in Summit Mall (if you're a fan) -- same up in Mentor. They have a warehouse/office in Brunswick. I grew up in the Barberton/Wadsworth/Rittman area then went to school at Muskingum.

Good to see Ohio folks around

Yes, I am actually in Ashtabula County "Covered Bridge Capitol of the World" and my commute crosses into PA since I have my State Inspection, Emissions, etc in PA.

It is nice out here especially Lake Erie and the fishing is simply awesome in Conneaut, Ohio
I know this car will get better MPG eventually. I am getting ready to update my fuel log and it's not changed since last time.
