Question HXers - closed / open loop...

Hey guys,
Looking for some input from fellow HX drivers. I've got a 2000 HX, 146k miles, 5spd. Recently tuned up / caught up with maintenance that previous owner lagged on (including cleaning the EGR chamber).

My ? - once warmed up, does your car go into open loop when cruising? Outside of lean burn of course. I have an ultraguage and on other vehicles, once warmed up, it stays in closed loop unless I go WOT or coast. On my HX, it will revert to open loop while cruising at times (outside of lean burn) with low/med loads.

Just wondering if this happens to other HXs or if its indicating my 5wire o2 might be going out...

Mine's an '01, but it stays in closed loop at all times once it's warmed up. I imagine it would do open loop at/near WOT, but I haven't bothered to check.

Thanks for one data point / feeback.

Any others?

Hoping its not a sign of the 5wire going bad...

Oh yeah, no CEL light on or driveability issues.

I'm pretty sure it's standard in fuel injected Hondas to stay in closed loop when they're warmed up, though the AFR will get richer with higher throttle positions and also with higher RPM. I'm uncertain if WOT goes into open loop or if it just enriches the mix a lot.
