Question hybrid idea/using existing pieces?

I've a '91 Festiva L 5-speed, and wonder if any existing electric parts could be adapted to the rear wheels effectively; to allow the regular front wheels/engine/trans-axle function, while converting the rear end to an all electric mode?(with feasibly a braking/generating function as well as charging while driving with the gasoline driven front wheels)

With the electric rear wheel drive used exclusively and/or in combination with the gasoline front wheel drive?
