I know that Thermal Efficiency = Wout/Qin. If I have the fuel consumption data, RPM and Torque, How can I calculate Qin? As for the hybrid, is it enough to derive that the thermal efficiency in the hybrid system is : (Wout(without electric motor) + P (electric motor)) / Qin ? I hope you could help me, Yair.

Formula for efficiency from BSFC is Efficiency = 79.3/BSFC (based on petrol energy density of 46.5 mj/kg.)
