How many manuals did they make for those years?

Six?!

Someone posted a 2002 for sale the other day. It is the same color, but the paint is worse, although it has 15,000 miles fewer, and they were asking $2,300--I paid $3,200.

Did the used car market finally calm down?

Great! I still need to fix up and sell a car or two!

6 manual Camrys sounds about right. It's such an oddball, I am tempted by it.

A dealer in TN is charging a $6000 "market adjustment" premium on new Mirages. I don't think things are back to normal yet.

If you have a car to sell, now's the time.

So... leave the shed up on double cinder blocks, with 3 rotten stringers, and missing most of the 2x4 on the end, with the drywall and sheet insulation on cinder blocks under a disintegrated drop cloth under what is left of my old awning with a big hole in it, and start fixing up and selling cars?

Well 3/4" plywood is good for 30lbsqft on a 2ft span......

If you make more money on cars then yup , do cars. However: include your time at some arbitrary base rate.

Is this thread up to date? How come you were driving an Accord with a questionable transmission instead of one of your six (6) Grampa Camries?

We estimated that Toyota produced 6 Camries with manual transmissions for that generation.

I own one autotragic Camry and one of the few times that I drove my newer, lower-mileage, and prettier Toyota, instead of my Honda with a dented roof, Gorilla Tape adhesive all over the front bumper, paint peeling off the back bumper, and other signs of individualism someone totaled my Camry.

I am still trying to make my core support look more like Mom's:

I just want to straighten it some more and pull it about 1/3". I had planned on getting Mom's car out of the way, parking my Accord sideways, locking pliers on the end of the core support, putting some tension on it with a cargo strap attached to the Honda tow hook, and using C-clamps and angle iron to straighten and stretch the core support.

Then I would have someone redo some spot welds.

I bought a new radiator; the old one didn't seem to start leaking until well after the accident.

I fear that I hit a rock driving to see a tiny house for sale down a dirt road and the splash shields that got ripped out shortly before the accident weren't there to protect my radiator, but I haven't taken the time to find the leak.

I replaced my hood, bumper, headlight, and 3 brackets for $200, but I couldn't find ones the right color, although the paint, even though it is the wrong color, is in much better shape than the original components.

I didn't have the time to straighten the core support with Christmas and everything and now I don't have the Accord to use as an anchor. I don't know how else to pull on it, reinstall the old radiator, turn my car around, and run my strap around the tree, then drain and remove the radiator again?

As always this seems like one of those things that would be easy with 2 people. If, for example, my brother ever held something when I asked him to, I could wrap that ratchet strap around a 2x4 with the bottom wedged against the wheel, and just have him lean back.

As far as I know, Camries don't have tow hooks.

My sister wants me to look at this Honda with 200,000 miles near the New Mexican border. It seems to be the only Honda or Toyota posted within the last week in my area and Enterprise doesn't allow one-way rentals, but I could rent a 10-foot box truck for almost $200.

Facebook Marketplace just shows some Civics the wrong generation in the Phoenix area. I don't have any idea why they are only asking $1,250 for this one, or why they took the time to write "Miles: XYZ."

I did a 3,000-mile oil change

Not on my car and it was actually 3,100 miles, but that is how far Mom drove since May seventh, and I missed Luther Vandross's birthday.

I definitely needed to change the oil in Gramps!

It had also been 5,000 miles in a year and 4 days.

I was very careful to not spill oil, but I had a dirty black hand after removing Mom's filter, although mine wasn't nearly as bad.

It is the same car!

Aside from my filter being on much tighter, everything went smoother with Gramps.

Both cars look all right, although each of them need power steering fluid.
