Sure it would. I can see through the tint in that picture.

Every car I've ever bought from a a dealer they put and ad for their dealership in the license plate frame and taped the temporary paper plate to the rear window. Our VW Sportwagen has a limo tint on the rear but you could still read the plate.

(b)Vehicle with a rear window: inside, on the left side and lower corner of the rear window.
(c)Vehicle carrying a camper or canopy: inside, on the left side and lower corner of the rear window of the camper or canopy.

Mom had me print two copies and mount one in a license plate. Five minutes after I left I got a CEL and I left my code readers at home. The bluetooth one was still in my Accord, which just got a CEL for that cat you guys told me to buy. I would have brought a reader, my swimsuit, and probably other things, but the universe was conspiring to keep me in Show Low. That happened a number of times. I would leave as early as I could the next morning and not get down until at least noon. I really wanted to see my girlfriend. I arrived after 01, we visited, and then I slept until noon.

Then Mom called to inform me my plate arrived.

!

Somehow "It should be there any day!" sounds far more accurate than "It will take a month!"

My brother's SLP is pregnant for the first time, so they tried to buy a Suburban. I asked if they got the Carfax.
"Nah! We didn't need it!"
Whoever bought the beautiful, accident-free, and low-mileage 2003 Camry must have thought the same thing. I wonder when they will learn that it is a 2002 with over 240,000 miles and had been rear-ended.

Just getting caught up on the Grampa Car Drama! Very exciting.

Can confirm grandpa joke is on point: my 86 year-old dad is a grandpa many times over, and has had a succession of Camrys from the late 80's culminating in his current 2006 that looks just like yours.

He has no interest in ever progressing past this body style. If one day his current car needs to be replaced, I'm going to have to look for another low kilometers 2006 just like last time.

Fortunately, so many old folks buy these cars, it's really not hard to find low kilometers examples. A 90-something year-old friend of the family has an '05 Camry with about 50k km on it (~30k miles).

Of possible interest:

Small update during a "4-hour" delay on a 2-hour flight.

I replaced the gas cap with a $24 genuine Toyota one even though everyone on Imgur insists the $5 ones are just as good.

The gasket on Mom's cap looks old and shrunken, so I will be putting my aftermarket gasket on her Toyota cap.

The blindspot mirror popped off. The foam tape attaching it came off with Windex and a plastic scraper.

I stuffed a paper towel in front of the clock, put hand sanitizer around the cell phone mount bases and they popped off with the plastic scraper.

The one on the right seemed to use foam tape, too. I scraped off what I could easily.

I took my brother to Sonic last night and made him wait to eat until he got home!

Then Mom gave me some burgers to go.

I drove down and my girlfriend and I are waiting to fly to Idaho.

I do not have a good impression so far.

PS: can I add your grampa car year/make/model to the thread title? Helpful for at-a-glance searchers.

You have to understand how much she enjoys spending time with me--and I don't know why I kept hearing her walking around upstairs once I finally got her to go to bed. So, I slept a couple of hours, and she feels the need to talk near-constantly.

I am exhausted and really want to zone out.

There isn't a good way in and out of her town. She insists that she has only had problems on 2/30 flights, but admits that nearly everyone has problems. I don't really want to visit. I definitely don't want to move there and this lame airline only makes everything worse.

Holy grail grandpa transmission

Thought of this thread when I spotted this Camry for sale locally:

It's the first time I've ever seen a 5-speed for sale of this generation. (Also the first time I've seen the Hand of God pushing against a Camry in a photo.)

2006 with 245k km = 152k miles. $4000 OBO.
