Congrats on the purchase. On the rear drum brakes, you can upgrade them (get rid of them haha) with discs from Dodge Neons. You need to get some machining done on the backing plates and adapt the brake lines (I made my own SS braided lines).

Here's a write-up about it; here...

I've done this modification on my Grand Am (same brakes and wheel bearings as the J-Bodies) and I'm quite pleased with them.

I'd like to take my spoiler off as well. I've read, people take it to a body shop to have the holes filled (welded) and painted (~$200). At some point I think I'll do the same thing-but I'll do it myself.

All I did is put some adhesive weather strip (3/4") on my hood-I doubled up the center part of the hood (big gap). The fit on these cars leave a lot to be desired.

I bought some lexan to cover the fog lights and part of the lower grill. I just need to figure out how I want to install it.

More to come.
Best mod ever a similar one saves me like $600 a year with same driving style if not worse -GW

Thanks for the link. I never knew that Neon parts could fit a GM. That goodness I got a buddy who's a machinist and a mechanic.

Of course the engineers at GM have to make things hard and expensive to make a minor change. I think I'll try the weatherstriping on the hood first.
