If you feel up to it, you might be able to do some gear swapping between your current box and the ITR box. Anything you do to get a taller 5th gear will help freeway cruising economy--and how often are you really trying to accellerate hard in 5th gear anyway?

I have the radiator in my 1990 Si (D16A6 engine, 108 fire-breathin' HP!) completely blocked off. It has only been an actual problem once so far, when driving on the freeway in 70+ degree weather for 20 minutes or more. The rest of the time, it has helped speed my warm-up cycle, which is very very important now that I'm leaving my engine off more than it's on!!

My car does have the full-width radiator as well.

My '85 had a factory blockoff plate for the pass. mirror. Never checked on the 2nd gens for blockoff plates, they may be available but I haven't confirmed it. Didn't mean to mislead.

*sigh*

I had a 1987 CRX HF...never should have sold it. But at the time I was a greasy high school senior with a college student girlfriend. Oh, and the CRX had a scored cylinder wall and smoked like crazy. Had I known that engine swaps were relatively easy and cheap, I would have kept it.

I also had a 1988 CRX Si. Loved that little black monster. Rust took it over, though. The jack-mounts were all toast. The body wasn't too bad, actually. It's probably long gone to CRX heaven by now.

It's pretty impractical for me to own one now. I carpool in with the wife after we drop off our daughter at day care. Same thing M-F. There's really no room or need for a CRX, but MAN DO I WANT ONE! :-)
