do you really need a vest tho? why not just a damp head band? it keeps your forehead cool, and that keeps the rest of your body cooler, and it's really cheap.
This whole idea is getting crazy and out of hand! I could see going as far as painting the roof of your car silver or white, but carrying an ice chest of ice with you is just wastfull! it takes alot of energy to cool that water to make ice that more then a soda bottle full of ice is going to just go to waste.

If you live in a dry climate, use a mister. Evaporative cooling is energy free, but water expensive.

Why not just making a vest out of those 1$ hot/cold packs? Those things stay cold for hours.

that's what I was thinking. Oh, and about the water... you have a big straw in the ice chest to drink the nice cold refreshing stuff that's melted

you could use a/c to chill a tank of water(cycle compressor), which would then be circulated around your body in some way.
I'd Love water cooled seats:-)

I see that those sneaky Canadians have been talking to sources discretely... too bad the sources always blow his cover!

Well after being subjected to a week of 101 IAT temperatures, newspapers say temperatures have been around 90+
All I know is that this option is looking pretty appealing right now, I've been looking at it ever since I bought this car but didn't think it would actually be a reality.
I am going to try the moist cloth around the neck tomorrow see if it makes a bit of difference.
