You could do what the speaker builders do, build a wire or thin wood frame and stretch felt over the frame then glass it. Depending on how heavy your frame is, this could be a lighter alternative that allows for more aerodynamic shapes.

I've built a few speaker boxes this way and am considering this technique to build a similar trailer for behind my Focus.

Not sure yet on how to go about the the build. I was think of plywood skeleton with aluminum skin a was also thinking of steel frame with aluminum skin trying to barrow a roller from a friend I will have to make die set to roll angle
