A teardropped Ghia has a certain elegance to it that I think would be more 'socially acceptable' as a 'hot rod' sort of mod.

Too late for me,I've already done the Texas Sawsall Massacre to mine! A fast way to reduce frontal area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking of Ghias, you can still purchase one-peice fiberglass front ends (body work fron the A pillar forward) that might be a good base from which to build off of. My VW Fastback and my daughter's '56 VW bug drag racers were both built that way

The Hudson boys have a lot of Geo Metro bodymod experience, and some Bonneville land speed records to show for it
