Since trips may not be long (3-4 hours) that means the truck is running fully warmed up about one-half the time. Thus emphasis on shortening that time. The longest is tires at 1.5-hrs. Second is engine oil at 45-miles steady state.
Concern about seat isn’t in replacement, it’s in rebuilding it to be comfortable. (You can hang a folding cot in box. Install door from cab to box. Also install inverter and more battery capacity if overnights are expected.
I’d rather have a suspended seat. Even spring ride is preferable to rigid. Seat belts should also be replaced due to age alone. Vibration is the mindfulness-killer. Bad posture only makes things worse. In big truck use a padded steering wheel cover and anti-vibration gloves (goatskin faced; on Amazon). Also, both the Extreme and Lumbar cushions from PURPLE. They don’t wear out.
Steering & brakes are the biggest “correctable” FE problems, IMO (after nosecone). And fatiguing as hell to deal with in less than an hour. Steering is suspension bushings, not just named gear. Need a thrust angle alignment after tires and shock absorbers replaced.
