The HV pack is in there but with 5-new sticks it's still not good enough for Honda's internal auditing.I'll have to have a completely new pack at some point. The shop thought that the 12-V battery would charge, but that's not the case.
I've lost so much work time dealing with the car that my trip is threatened.
Yesterday we finally got the title change executed.Total fees were $126.The shop charged only $624 instead of the grand since they couldn't restore it as a hybrid.
I now have $803 in the car.
I'll risk driving it locally soon,as I've got to take the truck out of service for a couple of days.It push starts easily, especially with a little slope.(now I'm back to 1976 with my '64 Karmann Ghia which I had to push start for awhile)

Thanks. If she'll give me any commuting potential at all it will really help. Then after the big trip I can look into her more seriously. We have the worst weather I've seen in 36 years and I've lost most of my confidence that I'll have anything but a POC to haul up to DARKO.We'll see.

My IMA battery has been turned off since May when I killed it falling asleep while discharging it , but my car still charges the 12V without any issues.

When I picked up the car they said that it WAS working but when I got to Dennis's to give him the news it failed right in his front yard.I push-started it,and when I got home and hooked up the charger it indicated 10% charge.
I don't want to risk working on it at all. It's jeopardized my trip already.

Whenever it did this, I had to reset the 12v system to get it to charge again and would for a short time. Luckily, I was able to get my battery back up to life.

Thanks. The shop said that the ebay controller that they got had 'less' error codes than the original, but wasn't working in pristine fashion.
I'm very pleased to have the car and at some point I'll get it sorted out,I just need to stay focused on Ogden.

The longer you wait, the more feasible a pure EV conversion becomes.

I'm not sure that the electric motor by itself is up to the challenge.
I've got to be able to accelerate rapidly to 60-mph and maintain that for the trip into town.
We've already had a dozen fatal collisions on this road from North Texans whom posted speed limits and solid double lines meant nothing.
Head-on and rear end collisions appear to be preferable to a few seconds inconvenience, awaiting cars entering from feeders.
I was better treated by the Viet Cong.

You would think that we eventually run out of stupid sub human apes
Maybe we need to start removing safety devices after taking a survey about driving

WIGAND RF chips in the SPEED LIMIT signs, with readers in the cars (toll tag technology) could deploy ejection seats for speeding drivers, while autonomous servos bring the offending car back into it's own lane, reducing velocity, and pulling it off the road for a tow truck/coroner/soylant green processor.
Sun roofs for the offending vehicles would be optional.

It's fun to fantasize; but mine run more to a complete drive-train swap.

The electrical motor assist adds another 10 kW (13 hp) and a maximum of 36 pound-feet (49 Nm) of torque when called on, with the aim to boost performance to the level of a typical 1.5 L petrol engine.

The Toyota MGR is 68hp and 98lb. The 2017 Acura MDX hybrid has IIRC more power, but more importantly it has twin motors and an electric differential so it will do torque vectoring. I've laid on the blacktop and looked at one at the local dealer. The mounting layout is pretty sweet.
Someone will be the first to roll one of those, else the part will be on eBay.
