I see that they taped the seams on the vehicle during testing, yet removed the roof and had wipers on the car during some of the road tests.

I'd really like to see the airflow around those front wheels. The inner fender lips don't seem to have very much of a smooth curve to them ( such as the Gen 1 Insight did.)

So what is the Cd ?

If it is a rendering, it's a good one. Reflection in the bumper, etc.

If the new Aston Martin Vantage GTE looks like it’s farting out a trumpet, that’s the point. That magic butt trumpet means that this car is even quicker for 2016.
I'm going to use that line whenever I can.

I haven't seen (or found searching) this one here:

The lavish jungle yacht by international harvester

I haven't found any details on the gap fillers. The top picture is the most revealing I could find. Seems like rigid side panels? Maybe open on the top?

Seems closely related to this:

1938 International D15 /1936 Curtiss Aerocar

With the gap filled in.

I'd always wondered how they got that gapless fit. If you look in the color ad, just to the left of 'Jungle Yachts' you see a picture of the trailer offloading from a ship. The nose is solid and half-circular. Maybe it has very limited flexion in pitch.

Talking to myself: Don't let this thread die!

Was it something I said?

These appeared recently on Go Away Garage (Warning: There is a Not Safe For Church picture in between the last two on the main page):

They're all new to me.

This Virtually Unknown Stillborn VW Prototype Is Blowing My Mind

Quote:
Everything about this prototype amazes me. It’s described here in the text as a “Volkswagen für die Großfamilie” which just means a Volkswagen for a big family — hence the three rows of seats. What’s puzzling — and what is likely the reason why this concept never got off the ground — is that VW already had such a car at this point, the Type II, which we mostly know as the Microbus.

Michigan plates!

Actually, I'd linked to J.Torchinsky's Porche Type 700 article directly. He uncovers a lot of old VW/Porshe stuff. Recently:

Edit: Further back in the Pelican Parts thread, an aerodynamic Unimog:
