No mod plans yet - getting Mr Audi to fix some rust (12 year warranty apparently then maybe some aero. Tyres are up high-ish at the moment.
The golf was slow and NO FUN, the e30 is slow and LOTS OF FUN

the golf got scrapped, the payment covered the tax on the 320i.

A wise move re getting it bodily spot on prior to starting tomfoolery

on the tyres front, I'd be inclined to move to 17" wheels- the additional sidewall gives a much better rid on the pothole ridden roads

Had to replace 2 of the 19s so wheel changes will have to wait, plus it is the S-Line version so it has rock hard suspension anyway.

It does "waft" well though...

17" at the front, 19" at the rear

waft is where it's at for commuting. even the 320 now turns just shy of 2750 at 60mph- much better than previous

I imagine my 320 will kill the average too- we should clear it out and just have the audi/pious and the 320/clio

starting from a lower base= higher potential for gain!

Wheel changes also require extra care about brake clearances.

I believe some A6s run on 17s with taller tyres, maybe not the V6s though. Wheels will be staying, can't afford new ones

use manmaths to offset cost of wheels vs ability to save fuel with uber LRR tyres that you can only get in 17", dear.

I just bought a super laptop on this basis (I can get so much more done in a day...) so I don't think I can stretch it that far, plus my new tyres are RainSports which means I grip when others fail So they stay !

To be honest those aren't the main barriers to FE - the transmission is. The "Tipchronic" auto is a PITA. It means at lower speeds I don't have the flexibility to swap to a higher gear apart from as above and the process of shutting off at lights means the guy behind gets a flash of my reversing lights - twice, which sometimes can be worrying for them.
