Ahh I see, apologies. The Multicronic I think allows the driver more freedom, the Tip is just a slushbox which dreams of being a manual...

New tank and I'm edging closer to 30 MPG US, roughly 36 imp.
Most of my driving is town based and official for Hermann is 27.
So some progress.

Yes, now if only I only drove in town that would be amazing...
EDIT - Trying to hit 40 for this tank, each tank is costing about £105 - ouch.

Lat time we filled the 535i track car, it was £107 (2011ish) and she did 200 miles, and ate a set of rear tyres!
big barges always have big costs, regardless of the purchase price

Rather gratifyingly Car Mechanics magazine have just taken on an A6 project car. I doubt much will be applicable to mine though it is a 3.2 Petrol V6 and only 2WD.

PS - Anyone with tips on best eco driving technique with an Auto welcome - anyone just saying don't drive it will be ignored (even if they are right...).
