Just passed 20,000 posts! Who else is in the top 20?
Today I passed the 20k mark for posts in the forum.
Happily, the 20000th post was announcing that Ecky won the ScanGauge-e in the contest.
Out of curiosity, I just looked up the top 20 posters around these parts.

A few surprises in there!
It's a bit of a bummer to see 2 of the members in the list have since quit the community (one over a simple misunderstanding; one over frustration at the amount of thread hi-jacking that was going on... and I sometimes see his point!).
A couple of others have drifted away (eg. founding member Ben / SVOboy).
But the majority in the list are still active. Cool!

Me too. I'm always fascinated by people disappearing from forums; it's like a death, if only of an avatar, but unlike a real death there are thousands and thousands of ghosts left behind in the form of posts. Old Mech's case is one of the more interesting, since he asked that his username be removed. His posts are all still here; they've just changed "brand." |
