Actually if anything I was looking at the GTP supercharged 3.8 pontiac grand prix. I think I was looking at the 2000-2005 model years.

Rated at 28 hwy mpg, I'm sure with tweaks, could get 30mpg. Its a great car for the money I think. Power everything, leather sunroof etc.

Not bad for a car with a supercharger on it.

Very cherry examples of this car are going for 3500 around here. Fresno ca.

I think its a great car, all things considered.

Metros go for 700-1600 around here. descent to worn out shape.

so? 50mpg metro? or 30mpg (supercharged) GTP with all options ?

I understand. And since the GTP already has a supercharger you could even try to make it operate in the Miller-cycle, which would lead to an increased fuel-efficiency.
