List your favorite SPORTS car, and why.
Hey everyone, what's your favorite sports car? This doesn't mean Civic R, or Mustang, or 325i.
This is REAL sport cars, S2000s, GTs, M1. Of course it can be anything, but this isn't the budget buy section, this is cream if the crop.
I'm sure a lot of Lambos and Ferraris are better now, or comparable, but at the time, the Ford GT 44 was the best, and still my favorite.
Why?
It's an icon.
Dyno's over 600hp, claimed at 550.
Six speed MANUAL ONLY.
Mid rear.
45/55 weight ratio.
Bringing power and honor back to the US sports car, besides whomping Ferrari.
150 grand, USD.
Very limted production run.
Roof line is just over 43 inches from the ground.
Any takers?

I love the Ford GT, all years.
I am partial to the Porsche so my All time fav is
the 911 turbo. final answer.
It has everything going for it, except for space, but hey its a sports car, also I stand to inherit one.
I also love the Lamborghini Countach , since i was a little boy, it has excited me. The first super car i was aware of when young.
Next the 70 mach 1 mustang Boss 302 , another favorite from my childhood, love this one because its bad ass, in looks and on the road.

I'll see your your countach, and raise you the Maserati Bora. I don't know much about the 911s, but everything else you mentioned sounds good. But a LOT of tje GTs had trouble, with little things. If I ever win the lottery, I want the last one built.

Believe it or not, im a little partial to chrysler. So my dream car is a viper, either 2004 or the new 2013's. Just pure badass. And if 600hp and a mountain of torque isn't enough for you, throw a couple turbos on it and youll push 2k hp. It may not drive like a road car, but who cares with that much power!
I also agree with the countach, childhood favorite. ...funny cause im pretty sure chrysler ownes(ed) lamborghini.

The Bora is nice, it has quite the aerodynamic rear on it, here's a '73 Bora and a 70 Mustang Mach 1, with it's aero rear, they must of been thinking.
Last but my first choice, a Porsche 911, this one is a 1995 GT2.

Favorite? That gets a little complicated. Favorite that I've actually owned was the Austin-Healey Sprite, with the Sunbeam Alpine a close second. Favorites that I wish I'd owned is a long list, probably starting with the Lotus Europa, Elite, and 7, the MG-TC, Porsche 914... And for something modern, of course a Tesla.
But I have to disagree on one point: any car with 600 hp doesn't qualify as a sports car in my book. Even 200 would be pushing it.
