A little introduction of myself
Greetings,
I'm a newbie from Middle Europe, and interested in making my car more aerodynamic (maybe even more technical stuff later), currently driving a Citroen C5 Tourer (116 HDi FAP), a car I fell in love with.
Some time ago, I found out about this website. I've always been a rather economic driver, but all that stuff on here inspired me to actually mod my car.
So I'm looking for experinces of other modders, and what tricks they might share.
Looking forward for reaching high mpg and having lots of fun doing it!
Greetings, 116HDi

What modifications are you contemplating?

Assuming your car is fitted with the DV6 engine, if you eventually decide to get an ECM reflashing it's quite easy to find aftermarket support, including some tunes more focused on fuel economy.

Rear wheel skirts, grill block, and an undertray. Those are the simplest mods I could think of.
Problem is, in my country all modifications need to be registered and proven for safety by a workshop. All in all that's quite expensive.
And maybe I find someone else ecomodding a C5 Tourer. Since it's a rather rare car, I could use some shared experiences.

I believe it's the 1.6 litres DV6 engine, but the power numbers aren't the same. The DV6 is said to have 110 hp, while my car officially has 115 hp. Where can I look up the name of the fitted engine?

The engine is still a DV6, yet at another power rating and emissions certification. I just don't remember where the compliance tag with info such as VIN and engine type is located in your car.

Thank you!
I think I know where to find these numbers.
Two more questions:
Do you have any experince concerning replacing lead acid batteries with Li-Ion?
And how easy can H7 halogen bulbs be switched for H7 LED bulbs?

For lithium 12V battery you'd want one based off of the LiFePO4 chemistry.
Replace Motorcycle Battery with LiFePO4
Another alternative is to use ultra capacitors instead of a chemical battery of any kind.
Replace your car battery with capacitors!

I have only seen a handful of custom motorcycles which were retrofitted with a Lithium battery, basically because it was small enough to make them look as if they were batteryless, in order to match the old-school appearance.

IIRC it's pretty much straightforward. An uncle of mine had replaced halogen bulbs with LED bulbs in some cars he owned.
