And how easy can H7 halogen bulbs be switched for H7 LED bulbs?
Which way are you going? Likely Halogen>>LED.

My experience is with swapping the bulbs in Hella H4s -- I find the LEDs have a more uniform, whiter light than the Halogens, but they don't have the reach down the road and the Hella low-beam cutoff is compromised. I added eyebrows like this:

A reflector designed for LEDs shouldn't have this problem.

Most LED-conversions for halogen-headlights have a very big resistor build in, which will convert the abundance of power into heat. I dont think converting your headlights to LED will improve efficiency much.

Usually, I see headlights are sold with a power unit which can consume only required energy.
This is only an issue on modern cars which have bulb failure detection, but on old cars it should work perfectly.

There are no reflectors designed for LEDs

I would suggest to do a conversion to a lens, which are usually designed for LEDs.

I have already seen some beams designed specifically for LEDs, yet they could only use LEDs in contrast to those LED bulbs meant to be a more plug-and-play replacement for halogen lamps.
