Standing still, yes, BUT in my 1993 Chevy van I can get 100+ MPG down hill out of gear with the engine Idling...and have done it.

I say my van as IT WILL let the motor idle out of gear at speed which my Ford will NOT..out of gear the engine RPMs are higher that in gear at the same speed, what is up with that??

Maybe I didn't parse the sentence correctly then.

What I'm not getting is how numerous folks have increased their FE using warm air intakes (the theory being that thinner air causes the ECU to inject less fuel to maintain the correct AF ratio in all conditions, with a slight loss of HP at the top end), the OP claims cold air should increase FE by making a little more HP, but then turns around and says that his idle fuel consumption doesn't seem to be affected by air temp. (The last doesn't seem correct, assuming it's being measured accurately.)

So something doesn't add up.

Well I have not seen any changes due to that...

Here is my old dash at the time of most testing note the Scan Gauge II and the MPGunio:

THIS IS what I did after I found nothing worked and decided I want to make the car more fun to drive.

And this:

And this:

And this is my 93 Van dash:

And more this is one feature of my new cluster, which unlike stock Ford has a replacement working oil pressure gauge and custom gauge faces:

I wanted different color lights so:

White:

Red:

Blue:

And green to just show the main colors.

And for those that do not think I have tried some of what I say:

Here is the Hydrogen Tank in my car and the setups we ran:

The plastic block is a flow gauge:

And one of the places we tried injecting the hydrogen into the air box.

Needs padded wingnuts.

I only drove to Nevada once, but I was able to pass a 'huntin' rig' I'd been pacing, in the left lane, over the speed limit, with the engine off. That's a divide-by-zero error.

Well, when good measurements conflict with the model, it's good to re-evaluate the model. Maybe the ECU has other tricks to accommodate warmer/cooler air?

And as for those that think I have not tried every thing:
This my PCM asscess system:

And note the HHO tank hooked up as well.

This is the road test form I used on these tests, all early test runs were for 100 Miles on I 10.

This is the weather station I rigged up so i could show what conduction's I was testing in:

I make sure my passengers wear their seat belts.

Yes with the engine off you cannot get a MPG and GPH read out..null report.
