Hi Guys,

Well the police found my VX yesterday. They stole the engine out of it. I didn't call the impound lot yet because I don't really know what to do about the situation. I may have a towing bill more than the car is worth.

I may just go up with my trailer & bring it back & put it on Craig's List just the way it sits. Don't really have the money or the time to get it back together! I have a friend that is a real car guy. I gave him a call for his opinion but as of yet has not returned it.

When I found out more I'll let you know. BTW, thanks Robert!

That really sucks. I know I was very mad when someone broke into my Prius. I'd be even more so if the whole car was gone.

Also the car was helping to get our finances in order. Much less money on the gas card. On the days the roads were not snowy, my wife was taking it. The last day she drove it she put a little over 110 miles to school & meetings.

Well after talking to the impound lot guy, besides the engine, the doors & much of the interior is missing.

Looks like I'm going to mail the tittle, the bill is 100 bucks to get her out so......

Again: that bites!

Who the heck is stealing lean burn engines? Assuming they even know what it is, I'm guessing they didn't take it specifically for the fuel economy potential!

I hear ya Geo,

Wait till they plug the 02 back together, they won't know why it runs so crappy!

Glad I didn't buy that new sensor! I was also going to put in an MPGuino.

According to the officer that took the report, the best way we car protect our cars is with a steering column lock cover. It goes over the ignition. I like the hidden kill switch idea too. Or unplug the coil wire.
