wonder if the digital cluster has it. doubtful tho. if my brothers 88 z24 w/ digital guages didnt have it, then it didnt exist at that time for "the common folk" kind of cars.

Let me know when you've got the voltage reading from that fuel sensor at full and "near empty"... i'll whip up a quick circuit diagram for you... total cost under 15 dollars, for sure.

yea... itll be a while before i can get some at the gauge readings. i did test my fuel level sending unit when i was replacing the pump. i read 17 ohms E, 107 ohms F. i did the simple math, and for 1/8th tank its 30.375 ohms. but since im going to replace this with a new unit, ill need it to go by the stock readings. 0 ohms E, 90 ohms F. 1/8th tank is 11.25 ohms.

id like it to come on at that level since this car is probably going to suck the gas down since its a built up "poor mans hotrod"

once a working circuit is made, i could figure a way to wire it into the "blue dinger box" to have an annoying audible sound letting me know im close to E. since all fiero owners hate that sound, the only way to get it to go off is to fill-er-up. having the light would be good too.

That's a good start - knowing those resistance values. However, the guage itself will be pushing some current through it and creating a voltage across those leads. It is that voltage that you'll need to know for this so that we aren't disrupting the guage reading itself.

oh ok. that does make sense. i wouldnt have know that and would have had off readings and not known why.

My friend had an 87 Bonneville SE with it, and it worked with the bonger too. I think there were quite a few GM cars of that era with it, but aside from the few I mentioned, I am not totally sure which ones.

G-Body Tips and Tricks Go to the bottom of the page for the info on the Riviera. I saw in another forum that it was optional on the late 60s Camaro.

Heres one from a 78-82 Corvette, on ebay for a whopping $200. But you can see that there is hardly anything to it, and it could be very easily made like MazdaMatt said.
