Vary nice. Two more tanks at over 100mpg and you have a winner. Craig and Allen will need to be at the top of there game, when you get your boat tail...

Thanks Brother !
RedYaris, I need to thank you especially as your work and advice encouraged to me to start actually experimenting with aeromods rather just reading and thinking about it. You have done some amazing things with Gray and your other projects. I can hardly wait to meet you in person at the Carmel Vetter Challenge.
I do need to back this tank up with some more good readings. Hopefully not just a shortfill. Even if it is, I'm on the right track. Craig and Alan, be scared!

Your last three tank average at 86mpg is a clear indication that you are on the right track. Have you placed your order for the Vetter tail section, and/or the whole package?
The VT500 project is going very slow, due to all the details and the "design as I go" aproach I use. Right now I am working on the support frame for the front fairing.

RedYaris, No, I need to talk to Craig. He got the Ninja kit nose mold finished and ALan will be getting Vetter streamlining front and back soon.
Keep us posted on your progress, I know the end result will be awesome.
all the best, L&S

194 miles is a long tank so any fill error will be pretty small. Did you switch brands of gas last time? What kind of average speed did you ride?

Very nice considering that is the cheapest fuel brand around. I like the running fuel mileage sign on the side. You have a right to be proud and show it off so people that see you out riding will know where you are coming from. Maybe you should get a pack of stick on numbers to make it really stand out. I have thought about getting a custom plate for my bike but wanted to wait until I see what the lifetime average will be after a few more mods. I should be able to wear 89mpg on the tag. Something like that. Higher if I were slower but I am 80% at 64-68mph. I doubt too many of those numbers are already being used on plates. I have to ride like this to hit my number though.

I find it very comfortable and excellent through bad weather and hope to do some cross country camping rides this year to meet with the Vetters at Ohio and check out the MotoGP at Indy.

Sendler, Thats a pretty tight tuck. Do you have a large tankbag to help prop you up? Very small frontal and side area though.
Frank, that's why I switched to coroplast for my windscreen, don't want to chop my head in a collision

I think coroplast would still do more than leave a mark.
I know it makes forming the desired shape more difficult, but perhaps it would be safer to have the coro "tubes" going laterally- less strength aiming at you. Also a little upward flip at the end gives a small flat impact surface vs a knife edge- better than nothing. It should be mounted in "breakaway" fashion, like snowmobile windshields, such that it's on there well enough to resist wind and day-to-day life happenings, but falls off at any force above that.
