Hi,

I can tell you, what i know about Lupo 3L.

Once upon a time i wanted buy this car. But when i found, that special AT- gearbox isn't good part of this car (from 2 owners announced). Need special services every 20-30 000km (don't know exactly interval) and is there big chance gearbox damage. Repair is over 2-3 000 Eur. One plus was, that i found some guy from Poland who repair broken gearbox Lupo 3L.
Anyway i was going away from buy LUPO 3L. If there is possible transform AT gearbox (don't know yet) to classic manual gearbox is the chance got Lupo 3L.

What i can tell you guys, beware of gearbox

Lupo TDi (not 3L I don't think, but I haven't watched it yet) vs Petrol

PPC mag here in the UK ran a buyers guide to the GTi and Sport Lupos which are rare-ish and don't seem to depreciate. They also suggested a look at a TDi as an alternative.

I've manage 114mpg imp out of it so far on a long run, mid 80's if you ignore eco driving it
