Basic bodykit will at least include. rear spoiler, rear wheel skirts, new front bumber or add on parts to current, smooth undertray, smooth hubcabs, rear diffusor. Those migth be included to kit.

Testing is open, but we have a wind tunnel here in finland also and I have contacts there so we will see if that will be tested on the windtunnel or not. At least coastdown tests will be done.

Also to my Lupo 3L will have also nano technologies to oils, lubricants etc. I will know more about the Nano stuff at the end of next week what will be possible.

Target is also to get special tires and to lose at least 50 kg of weigth that is where composites will come in to play.

But first I need to get my firm ready and get my own 3l. Currently one guy is selling rollover 3L here in Finland and I migth buy that one to myself well see if we are able to agree on the price thought .

I know this sounds negative but I think you'll be lucky to find 50kg to remove! + the amount of time and effort the seriously clever dudes at Wolfsburg spent on the 3L in the wind tunnel you may find it difficult to gleem much out of the aero short of fitting a boat tail! (although that would be a welcome increase on the trunk space issue!) the Undertray is a good idea

If the Cw value is 0.29 then there is still lot of things you can improve even when that is very small car. Biggest gains will come from engine ventilation and cooling ducting. + all the basic aero mods.

For the weight 50 kg is not so much in my opinion. You can lose just 20 kg by installing a smaller fuel tank . Bumbers are plastic. Hood is aluminium. You can remove the rear seats etc etc. Put plexi glasses which will actually be legal was it 2012 in eu?

So the Lupo 3L doesn't have a belly pan? I thought VW already got all the low hanging fruit.

I've heard extreme examples of weight loss, where 3L's (and Daewoo Tico's) came down to below 650kg, but it's hard for me to believe that...

Ah, I see - i didn't realise exactly what lengths you were going to at the cost of practicality with removing seats and reducing Fuel tank.

be carefull whenit comes to changing panels for ultra thin composites, as the directiona l strenght are vital for the crash protection. not that you're planning on crashing.....

I've heard of sub-680kg pug106's before now

I think lupo has some sort of a bellypan but not full smooth underside.

For lupo you need to also consider the crash safety because that is so small car, but as you mentioned there are cars out there which are under 700 kg. You just need to give up somethings you dont need, like the sound system and dampening materials Iam willing to do that for my quest for under 2L @100 km/h. But most of us arent.

The big question for Vekke is how far his potential customers are willing to go.

Throwing out the rear-seats and sound-proofing materials is pretty much hardcore modding, and few will go along.
