That was a good write-up/photo summary. Thanks to Jeff.
Oh - and Montreal is quite a bit closer to me than Fonda NY...

Hey good stuff, now Hobbit has also written a nice recap of his economy run weekend adventure with great pics as well. Check it out HERE.

And look what I found on Hobbit's page.
It's an elevation map for the new route I put together for Economy Run IV. It wasn't as flat as I thought.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that we got an unsolicited "ee-commode-err" from someone during the event. I won't mention any names, but it wasn't an ecomodder.

I heard it pronounced echo-motor as well as e-commode-er.

I don't get it Will.
Also, I found one picture that slipped through the cracks earlier. Is this the guy?

Heh, that's me. Lookin' pretty good for someone who slept in that car the previous night and hadn't showered
Well, people pronounce things differently wherever you go, especially if the word isn't in the dictionary like ecomodder. I don't think anyone here realizes it until he/she goes out to meet other members or hears someone else pronounce ecomodder. I always assumed that there were only two pronunciations out there ("eee-co"modder and "echo"modder) kind of like how most people pronounce the "eco" part of economy and economics differently.
I never expected to hear "E-commode-err". We had a good chuckle about this at the GGP... is it one who frequently uses the bathroom (commode) on the internet?
Edit: I say eeco mod er, not echo.

I say "EEco mod er" too.
In retrospect, not the best name. But we're stuck with it now :P
Bit of history: I think TomO was the one who came up with it back when we moderated GasSavers.

It sure would be nice to have something like this in other parts of the country.
Are there enough of us to start something like this in our part of the country ?
That 'wicked' looking black Honda Civic coupe reminded me of this car :
It's a coupe !

I'd love to see what kind of numbers palemelanesian can pull if he's actually trying. It seems pretty easy to put one of these competitions on; Ask anyone here who has been to one and especially Mike. We can guide you through it. Just make sure to go where there are some mountains to make it more interesting and challenging... and maybe scenic. Get in touch with your local racing/ motorhead community too - they're usually into anything that involves cars especially in their off-season.
I've been thinking about making my civic a little more wycked looking with a decal like this:
BTW my car is a coupe
