Where is a good place to get a 36V, at least 10AH battery pack for a bike? I found the kit I like, it's got a 500W hub motor on it, but it doesn't include a battery pack. Already looks like it will be around $400 for everything minus the battery.

Looking to spend maybe, $100 on a battery? Is that unreasonable?

Not unreasonable, if you're talking a sealed lead-acid pack. You can also pick up free or cheap batteries around that AH rating from alarm companies, which they replace when their capacity drops below about 80%. Lazarus is doing that with his bike (though he's still on his orig. pack)

Hospitals also regularly replace "good" batteries in critical equipment.
