To be fair, I could say many of the same things about my Prius. Except the window glass. That's actually very good. And the drivetrain as well.

Most car people and mechanics will say Toyota is a better company than Hyundai. Higher quality. More reliable
Hyundai has come a long way in the past two decades, but I always said hyundai is the Vizio of cars. Not the best, but a good bang for your buck
Sucks they are scrapping the Ioniq. I would’ve been curious to see what they would’ve done with the body style. They already released a new “ niro” that’s more aero and gets better mpg than the first gen. Technically that’s Kia, but same company and same drive train. Seeing a sleeker, more modern, edgier, more aero and also higher overall mpg gen 2 Ioniq would’ve been cool. But oh well. I’m very excited to see Toyotas final prius announcement later this year before they officially end the prius In 2030. I’m guessing they are going tj go all out and obviously make the best prius ever, with even lower drag and record breaking mpg numbers.

Cardboard and duct tape rear diffuser. Obviously the edges will be a lot cleaner and more flush.
Final plan is to use abs plastic and drilled in under and then use some type of bracket to hold it
Aiming for 10 degree angle while slightly curving the whole time
Boat tailing behind rear wheels will be added and then two extra inner fins to block off some inner wheel well turbulence
Any advice or suggestions?
Is this a good shape? What should I do differently?

Looks interesting. I'm assuming the cardboard is just for mock-up?

One might roll the winglets upward rather than the butt joint connection they have now.

diffuser
I'd need to see it from high above, looking down ( I use a fire escape on the old opera house in town, or an overpass ).
In one view it seems to curve in way too radically, then in another view, it seem acceptable.
Any photographs which depict a shape just like a 'blueprint' are what see need to be able to 'see' exactly what we're looking at.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Otherwise, if she can stand up to forces she'll encounter at road speeds, she's ready for testing!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some tufts and a GoPro underneath would be great. If the yarn remains 'nailed' straight back, you're golden.

I drive around the neighborhood with it on. Even hit a top speed of 45 mph. Was surprised the gorilla tape held it on so well
The drive felt “ smoother” and quieter. Mostly quieter though. No idea why that was.
It was harder to “ feel” if the car was slipperier with lower drag or not. My rear wheel spats can definitely be “ felt” as an improvement. If anything the rear diffuser maybe made the car feel stickier and less slipper. I feel like there was a little more resistance. But it’s also harder to tell at average speeds of 25-30 mph. But like I also said, the car felt more stable/smoother and quieter. So I don’t know what that conflicting info means
Final mock up would obviously be drilled into place and be hard abs plastic, with smoother edges

It looks like you could unbend the rear corner of the skirt and underlap the difusser.

They are claiming my wheel skirts add drag lol
Then again this is General Motors claiming this and I’ll keep my opinions about GM to myself. But they aren’t exactly the low drag leaders or innovators in the 21st century
