Here is how the diffuser and underpanel attach to each other.
The aluminum bracket it attached to the subframe with a toggle bolt.

For your toggle bolt, are you using existing holes? or did you drill into the subframe?

Yup, that's the "underpanel", single 4x8 sheet of coroplast ripped into 2 2x8 panels cut to fit, the sides, as you can see, tuck under the exhaust heat shield (edges were also tapped with aluminum tape for further heat resistance) and the outer sides tuck under side sills. The front end is folded up behind the wheels wells so it doesn't scoop any air above it.

I took that sentiment quoted above to heart and applied a set of vortex generator tabs to the roof and rear seat side windows of my Mini. I applied a total of 14. Eight on the trailing edge of the roof and three on each of the two rear seat side windows.

I'll post results when I accumulate a few tanks of driving with them. So far, I've noticed the rear glass and hatchback appear to be staying cleaner than before. That's a welcome result.
