Check the specs for the Mosfet soldering.

ya, it does take a lot of heat to get the solder to wick in. I used a heat gun and a high power soldering iron.
Follow them as closely as you can. Too much heat for too long and you will have compromised it's functionality. If the design is proven and the parts are good, all that is left is your assembly. Double check your assembly.

yes, the design looks good and sounds like most people are having a lot of success. I'm not questioning the design, I am questioning my assembly, set up, or settings... (I'm the lone idiot here)

I have turned the current limit all the way down....unless CCW on VR1 is all the way up.

I have been driving the car with the current limit turned down. no problems so far! drives great!

unfortunately, I did not take any pics before installation. I will take a couple pics when I get home and find my camera...
