I only have four 14" wheels that fit the car, so I had to do the 2 and 2 approach.

Good point about gear ratios: the 15's on the rear would have been spinning the diff/transmission 7.5% slower than the 14's. So, some of the apparent rolling advantage of the 15's was from decreased driveline drag.

Brief conversation today at a stoplight...

Guy in SUV: "Excuse me - what are those discs for on your wheels?"

Me: "What's your best guess?"

SUV: "Well, they say 'eco-something' on them, so I'm guessing wind resistance?"

Me: "Exactly."

SUV: "So they save gas?"

Me: "A tiny amount"

SUV: "Is it worth it?"

Me: "It all adds up!"

SUV: "Last question: are they expensive?"

Me: "Nope - I made 'em!"

The light changes and we part ways, and I'm wondering if he'll be trying to find "eco-something.com" on the interwebs later. I also wonder if he asked about price because he liked them?

thats why a 28´ bike rolls better than a 26´, less rounds for the bearing.

C.a.d.

I've progressed from paper templates to Cardboard Aided Design for the fender skirt...

And I wonder what will happen first: get the cardboard skirts on, run out of good weather...

I wonder if he thought they were carbon fibre (because flat black)? CF = desireable!

Are you producing the bumper line straight down? What will the back edge look like?
