aerohead and I are in agreement that in the 1970s when the fiberglass kit car craze was at it's peak, it was an error of omission to not replicate the Volkhart-Sagitta V2:



Then the barns of America the World might be full of these. 90MPH on 25HP, whatever that translates to for mileage. 50MPG is proven possible in a Karman-Ghia. Fiberglass shell and an industry (EMPI, SCAT, etc.) to provide replacement parts.

Edit: A modern interpretation might mimic the sloped rear quarters of the Hyundai's IONIQ 6 sedan combined with BMW's tightly wrapped front quarters.
