Mine is at 2300-2400 ish at 60mph.. but i have a first gen HF.. they seem to be diffrent than the 2nd gen

I found that SATURN steelies 15" fit HONDA 4x100. So do mazda MIATA rims -forgot what yrs. not sure of the width on any of them tho. I'm sellin 2 of my VX rims (no tires) for $160 , made by enkei (((woot))). or unless u want 15" alloys anything from the INTEGRA would fit on your CRX.

my 1985 crx hf is around 2,000rpm at 65mph, I just put a different tranny in it before selling it to my brother because it had the wrong one in it when I got it, also if you get one from a state with moutons it will have different gearing as well.
the stock rims on an hf should be 13" 4.5" wide steel rims, that are 12.5 pounds same as the civic cx has, stock civic steel rims are 5" wide and weigh 15 pounds or so, I would say going with a 155/80 R13 tire is the way to go unless you can find some 145 R13 tires (no /number indicates that they are a 85 aspect ratio), bu that is going to give you good traction, light weight and a tall tire, stock tires on the crx hf are often 165/70 R13, same as the civic vx.

Watch out for the different size center holes as well as the wheel offset. I know the wheel is "theoretically" supposed to center itself due to the tapered seats on the lug nuts, but still... The offset will make the wheels stick out to the sides more or less, and change the loads on the wheel bearings.

yeah thats why i want to source them at a local junk yard.. so i can try before i buy..lol

If it's a stock HF, going with a taller gear will net nothing or drop engine below it's sweet spot in efficiency.

I'm going with a .702 ratio 5th out of an OBD2 car for my 88 Civic DX's new gearbox... it's not quite HF 5th gear territory, but I've been netting almost 40 mpg on a highway cruise from the stock 92-95 DX drivetrain in it. With the new engine I'm hoping to push 50 mpg with no aero work.

FYI, Chris, VX rims look exactly like HX, come in 13X4.5, weight less than HX, and do not command the absurd resale value of HX rims.

Also, i hear the fugly Civic Hybrid rims weigh very little, IIRC they are a 15X5.5-6 rim.
