I'm not sure whether they are wide band or not but it seems they must be as it does auto logging. There wouldn't be much to log with a narrow band sensor. Just wrong or...wrong. Keep in mind that the threads are confused by different people discussing all of their own DIY FI conversions. There are many different conversations about different set ups going on at the same time.

I emailed them about injection for Yamaha virago 250. This is what I got.

In post #446 Ecotrons states: "Greg, I guess it has never been expicitly clarified: the 2xO2 sensors in the kit are NB O2s.
WBO2 is too expensive to be included in this economic kit.
Certaiinly WBO2 would be better if used for self-tuning. esp. for DIY projects.
NB O2s can do some extent of self-tuning also."
I must have skipped over that when I first read the thread. I'm half-assed looking for a 250 ninja.

Well, that makes it all quite a bit less impressive.

yup, I would just build a microsquirt megasquirt system. Wide band makes tuning so much easier and better.

pretty tough to match the price unless you scab a bunch of used parts together.
Also, having everything all right there makes it easier to figure out.

Yah, I didn't balk at $450, I knew they were going for that price when I got my ninja. I'm not sure if the fuel regulator is referenced to manifold pressure though (and manifold pressure on a 250 twin is erratic to say the least)

If I had a ninja I'd be tempted to get that kit, as it is I have a Honda CB125 that could use a new carburetor... $100 for a stock used one is not uncommon along with a rebuild kit every few years, $350 for fuel injection that gets me better mileage and more power seems like a cheap upgrade to a 35 year old motorcycle.

Ecotrons does list larger displacement kits on their new web site now. You can get single channel kits with throttle bodies ranging in size from 28mm to 52 mm. You would have to make up your own intake manifold somehow. And it does look like they are using narrow band O2 sensors but they do auto tune to 14.7. It is confusing because they state that you can choose between two maps but I guess when you select your custom map the system implements it by dropping out of closed loop or auto tuning, which ever way you want to look at it.
