New fuel injection retrofit kit for the Ninja

Peak torque is 1300 rpm lower on the fuel injected version, am I wrong in thinking that could be huge in fuel economy gains with all the guys throwing tall sprockets on their ninjas to drop cruise rpm? Does anyone know if there are other major differences like cams that contribute to the change in power band?

Are you talking about the Ninja300 with fuel injection? It has a longer stroke among other things which lowered and broadened the torque curve. Still has disappointing fuel economy though. Still around 56 mpgUS.

Can we expect anything else from a 100+ hp / liter engine tuned for performance ?

This evolution is already serious FE wise because the capacity has been increased but the power not so much.

Probably in 10 years time, there will be a FE champion in each capacity for each brand like Honda's NC 700
