New guy in Green Bay

Just joined this morning. Been doing mods for a long time just never knew there was a sight like this. its awesome. When my Metro was new I posted a personal high of 62.3 MPG on a trip to the twin cities. But the old Metro is getting tired now with 200K on it. Still giving me mid 50's Thanks for all the ideas and more tips.

Welcome to the site. Pretty decent mileage out of the cars. Is the metro an xfi?

Welcome to eomodder! There are many metro owners that could help you get even better mileage out of your car.

Good job. You'll want to do a compression test and see if your numbers are good, or if you need a rebuild.

Welcome to the forum.

Curious to know what aero mods you've done and how long you've been at it.

Mullet good to see you here too !

I have blocked the front end up all but the radiator area. Added 2" to the chin up front(used some old edging I had and screwed it on). With all the reading I took out 1 round of coil all the way around the car(man did that make it handle ALOT better) it dropped the car about 2". My mods have been stacking up since I have read all your stuff MetroMPG. I also took off the passenger mirrior, wiper and arm off. I was going to pull the rear bumper suport but its plastic back there so not much for weight loss there I left it alone. I plan on LSI headlights I saw at my local JY. And a XFI cam if I can ever find one in the JY. And also plan on pulling the rear seat out.

Just started serious Modding two days ago

And you're still happy with the ride? Still got all your fillings?

I'm working up the gumption to do that mod myself one day. But the irreversibleness of it makes me wary. I don't want my kidneys to be sore after a day of driving!

Well I did the back first and was happy with it, So I cut the fronts tonight. Went on a test drive and it was great in the corners. I'll let you know how it rides on the interstate.
